Galen Julian Ross, age 59, passed away December 26, 1993, in Burnt Corn, Arizona.

Born April 11, 1934, in Salt Lake City, to Roderick Earl and Hazel Julia Rockwood Ross. Married Dorothy Massey March 12, 1982, in Laguna Beach, Calif.Galen died where he loved to be, delivering Christmas gifts to the Navajo people that he loved. Galen was a retired criminal attorney, an entrepreneur, philanthropist, writer, artist and friend; above all, he was a humanitarian. He will be missed by all. His life touched so many people in positive ways. Galen was Dorothy's very best friend and most loving husband and father.

Survived by: His wife, Dorothy; four children, Judy Faye Edmonds, Mary Elizabeth Ross-Andrus, Ruth Suzanne Ross, Galen "Moses" Julian Ross, Jr.; two stepsons, Thomas Michael Swope and Timothy D. Swope; two grandchildren, Ginger Widner and Rochelle Swope. Preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Earl, Dave, and Ray; stepdaughter, Torrie Ann Swope.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, Dec. 30, 1993, at 2 p.m., at Deseret Mortuary, 36 East 700 So., where friends may call from noon until 2 p.m. Funeral directors, Deseret Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Galen Ross Scholarship Trust Fund through the Holy Trinity Cathedral, 279 So. 300 West, SLC, Ut 84101.
