Willard L. Thorell, 79, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to all, passed away December 28, 1993.
He was born November 17, 1914 in Salt Lake City a son of Linus Anderson and Maria Jansson Thorell. He married LaVern Brown in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on August 31, 1938. He worked and retired from A.T. & T. after many years of dedicated service. He gave devoted service to his family, friends, and neighbors and was a devoted Latter-day Saint.He is survived by his wife, LaVern; children, three sons and two daughters, Dave (Lyn); Alan (Cindy); Lorna McMurray (Steve); Dixie Pulsipher (Dennis) and Roger (Sally); preceded in death by an infant son, Paul. Also survived by his 27 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one brother and two sisters, Roy (Cora); Neva Clayton (Maurice) and Lilly Sperry (Don), all of Salt Lake City.
Funeral services will be held Friday, 12 noon, December 31, 1993 at the Crystal Heights Ward, 1970 East Stratford Avenue (2600 So.). Friends may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 11-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
