A Salt Lake man died of an accidental gunshot wound at Clear Lake Wildlife Refuge southeast of Delta Tuesday.

The body of John Allen Baldwin, 27, was taken to the Fillmore Community Medical Center and later transferred to the Utah Medical Examiner's office in Salt Lake City.Authorities believe Baldwin's 12-gauge shotgun accidentally fired as the man climbed across a fence in the parking lot about 11:15 a.m., said a Millard County Sheriff's Department dispatcher. Baldwin was struck in the stomach. A refuge employee found his body two hours later.
