Elthora C. Pace, age 81, returned to the loving arms of her Father-in-Heaven on December 28, 1993, after suffering from a stroke.
She was born October 19, 1912, in Manti, Utah to Ferdinand and Marie Christensen. She married L. Alan Pace on September 27, 1933. The marriage was later solemnized, Manti LDS Temple.She was a devoted member of the LDS Church, serving in many callings including Sunday School teacher, visiting teacher, Relief Society presidency, and temple worker. She was a wonderful gardener, and will be especially remembered for her love of quilting. Although she spent the last years of her life afflicted with multiple sclerosis, she was still able and willing to give service to her many friends and family.
Survived by: her children, Joan Grace, Payson; Gail Barney, Tooele; Lynn Pace, West Valley City; Wayne Pace, Sandy; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sisters, Helen Jensen, Spring City; Wanza Childs and Verla Edlund, both Salt Lake City; preceded in death by her husband, Alan, brother Vawn, Alcied, and Donald Christensen; sister, Georgia Ipson; and a granddaughter, Amanda Pace.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, December 31, 1993, in the Nephi 2nd Ward LDS Chapel, 222 South 100 East. Friends may call Thursday evening, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Anderson Funeral Home, 94 West 300 No., and at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial in the Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi, Utah.
