It's far-from-perfect movie, but "Jane's House" (Sunday, 8 p.m., Ch. 5) is worth a look by football-weary television viewers this weekend.
James Woods and Anne Archer turn in fine performances as the widowed father of two and the woman he falls in love with. The script tries to accomplish too much, covering the grief process, the new romance between two very different people and the adjustment to family life - complicated by the fact that the family is still living in first-wife "Jane's House." But it's a warm, comfortable two hours full of sympathetic characters.
And it's nice to see a film that reaffirms the importance of family.
