Police arrested a Salt Lake couple in Provo six hours after a Payson drive-in was robbed.

A man, 37, entered Rod's Drive-In, 785 E. 100 North, at 6:35 p.m. Wednesday, showed an employee a .38 revolver and demanded money, said Payson police detective Sandie Davis. There were two employees in the business.The clerk handed over the money and the man fled. Witnesses saw the man drive off in a white Chevrolet El Camino. Some hours later, Utah County sheriff's Sgt. Scott Carter spotted the vehicle at a Provo hotel.

Davis, Carter and sheriff's detective Jerry Monson confronted the man at a hotel room about 12:45 a.m. Thursday. They arrested the man and his wife, 35, and booked them into the Utah County Jail, Davis said.
