At what price tag to the taxpayers has the Irving Junior High in Sugarhouse sat empty for eight years? Eight years ago, the school was perhaps worth something. If not, it should have been bulldozed and the land sold for a one-story retirement condo.
There is the old unemployment office on Main Street just north of 1300 South. How many years has it stood empty and at what expense? Government always wants more and new taxes, yet can't or won't administer what it has in a profitable manner. Our elected officials and others need to get out of their cars, walk, ride bikes and see what's going on. At the overpass on 1300 South, the very west end had a broken sidewalk for over a year. I wrote letters and made calls to no avail. It's still not fixed.
A real lack of communication or a lack of really caring?
