Americans may be feeling blue these days, but it has nothing to do with the economy. The results of a poll by Crayola indicates that blue is the most popular color in the land.
Red ran a close second. Rounding out the top 10 were violet, green, carnation pink, black, turquoise blue, blue green, periwinkel and magenta. As part of the poll, celebrities were asked to name their favorite crayon colors. Billy Crystal prefers burnt sienna; rock musician Bryan Adams like newly introduced denim; and Whoopi Goldberg voted for magenta. Other favorite shades include: Charles Schultz, copper; Candice Bergen, dandelion; Fred Rogers, lemon yellow; Marilyn Quayle, sky blue.Colors receiving the fewest votes included sepia, tan, green yellow, raw sienna, mahogany and unmellow yellow.
