The Utah Bar Foundation has provided more than $193,000 in charitable contributions and grants this year.

The foundation, a nonprofit charitable corporation funded by interest generated from lawyers' trust accounts, this year provided grants to: Legal Aid Society ($55,000), Utah Legal Services ($41,500), Law-Related Education ($30,000), Catholic Community Services ($20,000), Legal Center for People with Disabilities ($10,000), American Inns of Court ($1,500), Community Service Scholarships ($6,000), Fordham Public Service Loan Replacement Assistance at the University of Utah College of Law ($25,000), DNA People's Legal Services ($3,000), and the Utah Foundation ($1,000).Grants are possible through cooperation with lawyers, law firms and Utah banks. Grant requests for 1994 funding consideration should be submitted by May 31, 1994.
