Once again we come to the close of another year and a time to evaluate our accomplishments, mistakes and attitudes. What changes should we make?
Let us resolve to smile more and to be more cheerful, cease to bicker, speak less and listen more. Be respectful of others of different races, backgrounds and religions. Be more courteous and considerate of these in our family circles and others, in the stores, the shopping malls and parking lots.Practice patience, courtesy and consideration on the streets and highways. Be kind to the frail, the disabled, the elderly and little children. Assist those who are less fortunate and judge not. Do more to keep the area we live in, our cities, our open spaces, natural wonders, clean and unlittered.
Respect animal life and their space. Appreciate all we have, our freedoms, privileges and opportunities. Last, but not least, honor and respect those who serve our country, especially the many who have sacrificed the ultimate, to preserve what we have today. Let us all practice better health habits, to enable us to do more and be better equipped for 1994.
