A Salt Lake boy escaped injury after a drive-by shooting early Thursday morning, according to a Salt Lake police report.

The boy, 15, was sleeping on a couch in a house near 580 Jeremy Street at 1:30 a.m. when at least 23 rounds were fired through the front window from a .22-caliber gun, the report said.The boy, waking to the sound of breaking glass, rolled off the couch onto the floor until the shooting stopped. His mother called the police, according to the report. There were no injuries.
