Keith Berard scored 16 points to lead Southern Utah to a 70-65 victory over Idaho Thursday night.
Orlando Lightfoot led Idaho (5-4) with 19 points, while Deon Watson had 14 points and a game-high 16 rebounds.The Thunderbirds (7-4) got 14 points from Andy Ward as they claimed their 16th straight home victory.
SUU took a 30-26 lead into halftime, then built leads as large as seven points in the second half before Idaho went ahead 54-53 on a layup by Watson with 3:56 left.
Berard hit a 10-foot jumper with 2:52 to go as the Thunderbirds regained the lead and went on a nine-point run to put it away.
