Michael Ray Stephens, 38, passed away February 12, 1993 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He was born July 20, 1954 in Pocatello, Idaho to Ray E. and Darlene Stephens. He graduated from Pocatello High School in 1973. He was a seminary graduate. He attended Idaho State University in Pocatello and was a four year graduate of the Institute program.He served an LDS mission in the Michigan, East Lansing Mission 1974-76. He graduated with honors from Brigham Young University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Speech Communications in 1991. He was a student of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He loved to talk about the gospel with anyone interested in hearing about it.

Mike affiliated with poor health all his life. He lived on kidney dialysis for the past 16 years of his life. With all of the trials he had, he never complained and always maintained a great sense of humor. He was a very devoted BYU sports fan. At the time of his death, he was a business manager for the Provo Patients Dialysis Center.

He was at the University of Utah Medical Center from December 27, 1992 until he passed away in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit on February 12, 1993. He lived with his father in Orem, Utah.

He is survived by his father of Orem; two sisters: Mrs. LaMar (Debby) Hatch, Mrs. Brad (Susan) Zollinger, both of Highland, Utah; a cousin, Mrs. Lowell (Rita) Nelson, also of Highland, Utah; a cousin, Steve Evans, of West Valley; numerous nieces and nephews. His mother passed away when Mike was 7 years old.

Funeral services will be held in Pocatello, Idaho at the Caldwell Park Ward, 135 So. 7th Ave. on Tuesday, February 16, 1 p.m. Friends may call at the Manning Chapel in Pocatello, Monday 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday at the church one hour prior to services.
