Dorothy Dee Higginbotham Stevenson, died January 30, 1993 in Salt Lake.
Born December 30, 1908 in Ogden, Utah, to Frances E. and Margaret D. Dee Higginbotham. Granddaughter of Thomas D. and Annie Taylor Dee, for whom McKay-Dee is named. Married Ralph S. Stevenson, April 20, 1930 in Ogden, Utah. Longtime resident of Holladay. Member of Cottonwood 2nd Ward. Former president of YMMIA, Relief Society and Stake Primary president. Former president Acacia Club in Ogden (which met for over 80 years). Member Cottonwood Study Group. Attended Weber College. First female to receive license as a ham radio operator in Utah. Active in Family Motor Coach Association, Photographic Society of America and Daughters of Utah Pioneers.Survived by three children, Craig H. Stevenson, Denver, Colorado; Howard H. Stevenson, Boston, Mass.; Susan D. S. Burker, Seattle, Wash.; 11 grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret `Peggy' Madsen, Salt Lake.
Funeral service Wednesday, 12 noon at the Cottonwood 2nd Ward, 1750 East Spring Lane (5000 So.). Friends may call Tuesday, 6 to 8 p.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State, Murray, and Wednesday at the church one hour prior to services.
Interment: Ogden City Cemetery.
