A 7-year-old girl was killed Saturday afternoon when the car in which she was riding failed to stop at a stop sign and was broadsided by a pickup truck.
A spokesman for the Clinton Police Department said Kelsey Burker was pronounced dead at the scene.Her 26-year-old mother, Tracy Burker, driver of the car, was taken to McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden where she was in critical condition Saturday night. Neither Burker nor her daughter were wearing seat belts.
Monan Lovell, 62, the pickup's driver, was treated for minor injuries at Davis Hospital in Layton. Police said he was wearing a seat belt.
