Bert Howd Greenwood, 84, beloved father and grandfather, died December 21, 1994 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He was born October 29, 1909 in Central, Sevier County, to William Simon and Cristina Christensen Greenwood. He married Carma Ora Colby May 9, 1931 in Denver, Colorado. The marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. She died May 29, 1984.He was raised by his stepmother, Lucile Greenwood. He was a salesman and clerk for Safeway and Martin Doors in Salt Lake for many years.
He is survived by three sons and two daughters, Bruce H. and Isobel Greenwood, Fremont, Calif.; Dan B. and Cha Greenwood, Colorado, Springs, Colo.; Phil Greenwood, Della Greenwood, both Salt Lake; Lou and Blaine Larsen, West Valley City; 24 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 80 foster grandchildren; one brother and two sisters, Steve F. and Pat Greenwood, Nephi; Ann Olsen, Lehi; Ruth Nielsen, Spanish Fork.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, stepmother, brother Bill Greenwood, sister Ardella Durocher.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 1994, at 1 p.m. in the Neal s. Magleby & Sons Mortuary Chapel, 50 South 100 West, Richfield, where friends may call Wednesday, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Alzheimer's and Parkinson's research in Bert's name, or your favorite charity.
