Lucile Marguerite Ensign Johnston died December 23, 1994 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

She was born November 30, 1902 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Alfred Horace and Edith Lucile Hyde Ensign.Member of the First Presbyterian Church. Attended East High School and the University of Utah. Member of Mizpah Chapter #5, Order of the Eastern Star. She was a Grey Lady in the Red Cross for a number of years. She married Jacob A. Johnston, October 5, 1921 in Salt Lake City; he died December 2, 1975.

Survived by three grandchildren, Robert L. Anderson, Thomas P. Anderson, Laurie La Rue Johnson, one sister, Mrs. (Helen) Reed Culp, Salt Lake City; three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son and a daughter, Lt. Robert Ensign Johnston and Betty Lou Johnston La Rue.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, December 28, 1994, 2 p.m. at the Salt Lake City Cemetery, 4th Avenue and "N" Street, with Dr. Donald H. Baird, Senior Pastor at the First Presbyterian Church, officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7-8 p.m. at Evans & Early Mortuary, 574 East 100 South.

Family suggests contributions be made to the Intermountain Unit of the Shriner's Hospital or their favorite charity. Funeral directors, Evans & Early Mortuary.
