God knew you were suffering, that the hills were hard to climb, so he gently closed your eyelids, and whispered "peace be thine." In tears we watched you sinking, we watched you fade away. Our hearts were nearly broken, you fought so hard to stay. It broke our hearts to see you go, but you did not go alone, for part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
Our beautiful mother, grandmother died December 23, 1994 at the age of 96 in her daughter's home.She was born January 5, 1898 in Fairview, Utah to Orson Albert Miner and Nancy Brady Miner. She was the second eldest of 10 children, all of whom are deceased. She married George Oliverson Daley, April 28, 1919 in Manti and Jess Edwin Black, October 17, 1936 in Salt Lake City. Both are deceased.
She is survived by one son, four daughters and their spouses, George Denver Daley, Houston, Texas; Joseph (Helen) Nelson, Waxahachie, Texas; Basil (Jessie) Hortman, Houston, Texas; Herbert (Lucile) Womble, Woods Cross, Utah; Charlene Hinckley, Salt Lake City; two special ex-in-laws, Howard Hinckley and Marva Casper; 17 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday, December 29, 1994 at 2 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary, 2350 East 1300 South, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
