Junius Glenn Morrill, age 82, of LaCrosse, Florida, formerly of Tridell, Utah, died Friday, December 23, 1994, at the North Florida Medical Center of congestive heart failure and pneumonia.

He was born May 4, 1912, in Vernal, Utah to Horace and Alice Hoyt Hayes Morrill. He married Olive Elizabeth Lemon in 1936. Glenn was an active member of the LDS Church, where he served in many positions including a full-time mission to the Central States Mission. He graduated from Brigham Youg University in 1937, received a master's degree in agronomy from Utah State Agriculture College in 1951 and earned a doctorate in agricultural education and rural sociology from Cornell University in 1959. His work in agriculture took him to several places in the continental United States, as well as Iran, Switzerland, Hawaii, and Pakistan. He retired from the University of Florida in 1979 to a cattle ranch in LaCrosse, Florida which he has owned and operated until the present.He is survived by his wife, Olive, LaCrosse; daughters, Glenda Cutchen, Albuquerque, New Mexico; Afton Burt, Gainesville, Georgia; and Carolyn Morrill-Owen, Athens, Georgia; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services held in Gainesville, Florida Tuesday, December 27, and at the Tridell, Utah LDS Church at 2 p.m Thursday, Dec. 29, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial at the Tridell Cemetery. Funeral directors, Hullinger-Olpin Mortuary, Roosevelt, Utah 722-2426.
