Our beloved Kathy VanKomen departed this life for a much better place on Sunday, December 25, 1994.
She spent most of her working life doing physician credentialing for Intermountain Health Care, a job she dearly loved. She was born on December 13, 1942 in Richfield, Utah to Spencer and Helen Johnson Sowby. She was married to Bob VanKomen. Both parents and her husband preceded her in death.She is survived by one son, Rodney VanKomen of Salt Lake City; brothers, Stephen Sowby of American Fork and Sherman Sowby of Fresno, Calif.; two grandchildren, Travis and Brandon.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 1994, 11 a.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East So. Temple, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Kathy will be laid to rest next to her husband at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. Remembrances may be sent to the Primary Children's Medical Center.
