Guitarist Jerry Miller, a founding member of '60s rock band Moby Grape, has formed a new Jerry Miller Band with bassist Tiran Porter of the Doobie Brothers and drummer John Oxindine of The Sons of Chaplin.

The trio is working on a new album in San Francisco, and one of Miller's songs, "Murder in My Heart for the Judge," will be on George Thorogood's next album.At a show last spring in San Francisco, Miller was joined on stage by Robert Plant and former Moby Grape bandmate Skip Spence, who had also played with the Jefferson Airplane.
