Robert Johnson has joined First Security Insurance as a senior transportation underwriter. He was formerly a senior underwriter for Great West Casualty Co. Sherman Smith has joined First Security Insurance as a sales and administrative representative. He has worked in the insurance industry more than 30 years. David Gessel has been appointed vice president of government relations and legal affairs for the Utah Hospital Association. He was formerly an attorney with the Salt Lake law firm of Jones, Waldo, Holbrook and McDonough. Michelle Takemori has been promoted to assistant vice president of Brighton Bank. Formerly a documentation officer, she has worked for the bank 11 years. Sherrie Wood has been promoted to vice president of central operations for Brighton Bank. She has worked in the financial services industry for 17 years.
