L. Ross Blonquist, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away, December 27, 1994 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He was born July 21, 1915 at Coalville, Summit County, Utah to Margaret Salmon and Lawrence Blonquist. He married Bertha Hopkin, Oct 15, 1936 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. As an active member of the LDS Church, he served as bishop, bishop's counselor, high priest group leader, and held many other positions.He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad and Beneficial Life Insurance Company while living at Green River, Wyoming. He had a highly successful sales career with and retired in 1981 from Rockmont Envelope Company. After retirement, he enjoyed traveling with the Good Sam Club.

He is survived by his wife, Bertha, two sons, Thomas and wife, Jan, Salt Lake City; Edwin and wife, Kris, North Bend, Oregon; two daughters, Shirley Parchman and husband Robert, Orem, Utah; Dian Goldman and husband, Larry, West Jordan; 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his only brother, Blaine.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 30, 1994 at 12 noon in the Bingham Creek 3rd Ward Chapel, 8825 South 1095 West, West Jordan, Utah. Friends may call on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive and at the ward from 10:45-11:45 a.m. on Friday prior to services. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
