Marcus Laurence Davis, 84, died at home on December 27, 1994, surrounded by his family.

Born February 8, 1910, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Alma Thomas and Larsine Larsen Davis. Married Virginia Lucille Hansen, January 15, 1934 in Coalville, Utah, later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, April 23, 1959. Played Xylophone in Keith Engar's Radio Orchestra on KSL. Retired from Union Pacific Railroad. Was a member of the LDS Church having served as ward clerk for many years and also a temple worker in the Salt Lake Temple with his wife. He loved music, model railroading, genealogy and most of all his family.Survived by a daughter and son, Janet Davis, Salt Lake City; Louis E. (Beverly) Davis, Thousand Oaks, California; daughter-in-law, Kathy Davis, Tempe, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; sister Ruth Perry, Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by wife and son Richard T. Davis.

Graveside services will be held Friday, December 30, 1994, 11:30 a.m. at the Salt Lake City Cemetery. Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Thursday 6:30-8 p.m.
