Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Delores Joan Schiess Jensen, 79, passed away peacefully December 28, 1994 at the Sunshine Terrace.

She was born March 3, 1915 in Providence, Utah, to Theophield B. and Mary Spring Schiess. She married Ronald Victor Jensen, September 1, 1937 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They lived in Hyrum, where they raised their six children. Ronald preceded her in death May 7, 1976.Delores graduated from South Cache High School and also Beauty College. She was active in the LDS Church, where she held leadership positions in the Primary and Relief Society. She especially loved the time she served as an ordinance worker for many years in the Logan LDS Temple.

She is survived by three sons and three daughters and their spouses, Ronald V., Jr. and Sherri Jensen, Erie, Colorado; Mrs. Wayne (Joan) Peterson, Salt Lake City, Utah; Jon J. and Loretta Jensen, Salt Lake City, Utah; Mrs. Don (Rosemary) White, Liberty, Utah; Mrs. Gary (Maureen) Anderson, Providence, Utah; Jeffrey R. Jensen, Salt Lake City, Utah; 32 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters, Mae Rees, Santa Rosa, California; Mrs. H. Ray (Amy) Gibbons, Lewiston, Utah; Mrs. George (Phyllis) Atkinson, Providence, Utah; Roma Blonde, Providence, Utah. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Cecila Barkle, Lucile Cox and one brother, Benjamin Schiess.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 31, 1994 at 12 noon in the Hyrum 3rd-10th Ward Chapel, 111 North 400 West, Hyrum, with Bishop Carl Lundahl conducting. Friends may call at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center, Logan, Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. and at the Hyrum 3rd-10th Ward chapel on Saturday one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Hyrum City Cemetery.
