Welcome to reality, Colorado State.

The Western Athletic Conference champion Rams are ranked 10th heading into tonight's Holiday Bowl at Jack Murphy Stadium, while their opponents, the Michigan Wolverines, are No. 20.Yet the Wolverines are favored by 71/2 points.

"It hurts a little just to look at it, but we're not there yet," Rams quarterback Anthoney Hill said. "They're a national power, they have tradition and they have a lot of things going for them."

"We're just babies, basically, as far as success goes. But hopefully we're going to grow up in it, and eventually we'll get the respect that we're due," Hill said.
