After a week of Mexican food, the River Walk and about all the Alamo Bowl pregame events they can handle, Baylor and Washington State are ready to play a little football.
"Everyone enjoyed San Antonio," Baylor coach Chuck Reedy said Friday. "They're all getting a little bit restless. I think it's time to play."Baylor takes on No. 24 Washington State tonight at the Alamodome in the second annual Alamo Bowl.
Washington State coach Mike Price, whose Cougars are 51/2-point favorites, agreed it's time to turn pregame talk into game-time action.
"All that hype only lasts a split second," he said. "It's just football, baby."
Both coaches are predicting a low-scoring game.
"We have two coaches saying that. It'll probably be 50-49," Price joked.
The Bears (7-4) finished in a five-way tie for the conference championship. Washington State (7-4) ended up fourth in the Pacific 10.
