Taylor, a Lombardi Award-winning guard from Notre Dame and the 16th selection in the NFL draft, tore the patellar tendon between the right kneecap and lower leg during a minicamp drill Monday.The 6-foot-3, 313-pounder had been projected as a starter at left guard. Taylor hadn't signed with the Packers, but had negotiated an "injury settlement" agreement so he could participate in minicamp.
