Kevin Blaine Twitchell, age 38, passed away in Tallahassee, Florida on September 5, 1994 from injuries resulting from an accident at his home.
Kevin was born June 15, 1956 to Blaine E. and Marilyn W. Twitchell.He married Marilyn Jackson on May 15, 1985 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
A graduate of Utah State University in 1980 with a B.A. in Landscape Architecture/Land Planning, he worked for four years with Prowswood and was a founding partner of LandArc. He was then hired by Haskell Co., moving to Jacksonville, Florida in 1985; later with Landers-Atkins and most currently with Genesis Group, Inc., moving to Tallahassee in 1993.
He was a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners, the Registered Landscape Architects of Florida and Utah, and the American Planning Association.
As a High Priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he was a return missionary from the Belgium-Brussels Mission, and was a former Young Men's President, Bishop, Stake Mission President, and currently 2nd counselor in the Bishopric.
Kevin was the one brother among four sisters. He was deeply loved and respected by all who knew him. He was a devoted father, and loving husband. He will be greatly missed.
Preceded in death by his mother, and survived by his wife Marilyn, daughter Heather (age 6), son David Kevin (age 3), daughter Amy (age 5 months). He is also survived by his father, Blaine E. Twitchell (Joani) of Salt Lake, and sisters: Eileen T. Swenson (Randy) of Salt Lake, Melanie T. Rasband (Ron) of Salt Lake, Stacey T. Jackson (John) of Provo, Wendy T. Wixom (Brad) of Salt Lake; and maternal grandmother Nina Richards Woodbury of Salt Lake.
Funeral services were held in Tallahassee on Thursday September 8. Additional Funeral Services will be held 12 noon Monday September 12 in the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 South Highland Drive where friends may call Monday 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park (Olympus Section).
