The Utah Arts Festival is currently accepting applications for its Artists Marketplace and Performing arts stages. Application deadline is Feb. 17. Entries are not restricted to Utah residents. The 19th annual Utah Arts Festival will be held in Salt Lake City June 22-25. Application forms are available by writing the Utah Arts Festival, 168 W. 500 N., Salt Lake City, UT 84103 or by calling 801-322-2428.

The Atrium Gallery is accepting applications for exhibition of work. Interested artists are invited to submit a portfolio of 35mm slides or small works to the Fine Arts/-Audio-visual Department. Portfolios must be picked up within six weeks of the notification date. For more information call 524-8242.

Applications are available at the Art Barn for visual artists who would like their work considered for exhibition in the Finch Lane Gallery in 1996. Completed applications accompanied by slides of the artist's work are due at the City Arts Council office by Wednesday, March 1.

Hogle Zoo's second annual art show, "The World of the Wild," will take place March 5-April 16. The exhibition intends to showcase diverse artistic interpretations of the natural world by bringing together the works of serious artists whose ideas will foster a greater appreciation for the environment and conservation. Campbell Soup Co. is conducting a search for artists to create the next great contemporary version of the Campbell's Red and White Soup Can for the "Art of Soup" contest. Winners will be chosen from three categories (child, amateur and professional) and work must be entered under: painting/-drawing; sculpture; film/video; photography; crafts/wearables; plus all other mediums. One grand prize of $10,000, three first prizes of $5,000 and eighteen second prizes of $1,000. Entries must be received by Jan. 31, 1995. The Department of Visual Arts of McNeese State University announces a call for entries for the 8th Annual National Works on Paper Competition. The exhibition is open to all artists living in the United States, and more than $3,000 in purchase awards will be selected. Artists may submit up to two works in any medium on paper, including photography and must not exceed 42 inches in any direction.
