Elizabeth Levy, author of the "Something Queer" mystery series, is inviting young readers to submit their ideas for her next book.

"If you don't know the mysteries," Levy says, "they star Gwen who always taps her braces; her best friend, Jill; and Fletcher, the fat dog who hates to move . . . I've always felt that Gwen, Jill and Fletcher could solve a mystery anywhere. So if you've got an idea for a great place or setting for a mystery, let us know."Levy and illustrator Mordicai Gerstein will visit the grand-prize winner's school. Runners-up will receive an autographed copy of Levy's latest book, "Something Queer at the Scary Movie" (Hyperion Books for Children; $14.95 hardcover, $4.95 paperback).

Entrants should send their name, complete address and a one-sentence description of where they think the next "Something Queer" story should take place. Deadline for entries is Jan. 1, 1996.
