Rod Stewart, the man behind the Faces and a solo superstar now for almost a quarter-century, will come to Salt Lake City for one night only on Wednesday, Jan. 31, in the Delta Center.

Wristbands are available at all Smith'sTix outlets. Tickets, at $30 and $45, go on sale Saturday, Dec. 2, at 9 a.m. at those outlets as well as the Delta Center box office.The concert will be in the round and presented on a stage bigger than the Neil Diamond show a couple of years ago.

Stewart is a music business veteran. He got his start performing with guitarist Jeff Beck before becoming a member of Faces, which also featured the Rolling Stones' Ron Wood. His solo career kicked off in earnest in 1971 with the international hit "Maggie May."

His new album, "A Spanner in the Works," features the single "Leave Virginia Alone." His No. 1 hits include "Tonight's the Night" and "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy." He also hit the charts with "Downtown Train," "You're in my Heart," "Young Turks" and "Passion," among many others.
