Wanda Gisseman died at her home on July 20, 1995 following a long battle with Parkinson's Disease.

She was born on June 14, 1912 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Alonzo Hugh Wilcken and Ruby Fairclough Wilcken. She was married to Walter Gisseman of Salt Lake City, who preceded her in death, and is survived by two daughters, Linda Burns and Joan Hubbard, three grandchildren, Robert and Patrick Burns and DiAnna Johnson, two great-grandchildren, and her beloved sister, Dode Richards. She had a long and distinguished career with the Newspaper Agency.Burial was at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, following a private family service.
