Mexican air force personnel examine the remains of a T-33 jet that crashed as it flew through a canyon in western Mexico City during the celebration of the 185th anniversary of Mexican independence Saturday. Six crew members were killed, and one crew member parachuted to safety and remained hospitalized late Saturday. The Defense Department said an F-5 struck the rear of a T-33, and the falling planes caused two more T-33s to crash. The planes fell onto open ground being developed for a golf course.
