Every year radio stations pull off big romantic stunts for Valentine's Day. This year appears to have been the "wedding year," with at least three stations staging promotions that tied the knot for lovers.

KZHT (FM-94.9) topped the list with a mass wedding ceremony at the Riverboat. Fifteen couples were married for the first time and two others renewed their vows, free on the air the morning of Feb. 14. The station provided the music, flowers, refreshments, photographs, etc. The Salt Lake County clerk conducted the ceremony.KISN-FM (97.1) staged a "$97 Wedding" Wednesday morning at the JB's Restaurant on 3300 South with "Fisher and Todd" organizing the event. Gay Clark and Dave Foster were married in the presence of an Elvis impersonator and with the Utah Jazz Bear serving as the "ring bear."

Still another station, KBEE (FM-98.7), will sponsor a real wedding at the Carmike Cottonwood Mall theater at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15 - prior to the advance screening of the new "Mr. Wrong" film. JoLynn Meyers and Richard Bush of Weber County will end a two-year engagement in a ceremony prior to the movie.
