Mark Price, once one of the NBA's best guards but limited to seven games last year because of an injured foot, signed Sunday with the Golden State Warriors.
"He brings a tremendous competitive spirit, a great feel for the game and adds another clutch performer and outstanding shooter to our mix," Warriors general manager Dave Twardzik said.Price, a 6-footer, was a free agent. Financial terms of the multiyear contract were not disclosed.
Price played his first nine seasons with Cleveland, then was traded to Washington before the 1995-96 season. He missed practically the whole season because of the injury to his left foot.
A four-time NBA All-Star, Price has averaged 16.3 points and 7.2 assists a game for his career. He is the league's all-time accurate foul shooter at just over 90 percent.
