Our beloved mother, wife, grandmother and great-grandmother returned to her Heavenly Father on Nov. 22, 1997 to be reunited with her husband, Joseph; son, Robert; and her great-granddaughter, Jentzen Beeny; who all preceded her in death.
Born Jan. 10, 1916, in Brooklyn, New York to Frederick and Carlotta Roebling Norton. She rests peacefully now watching over her daughter, JoAnn Beeny (Art, son in law) along with seven grandchildren, Gary Beeny (Angela), Brent Beeny (Jodi), Blaine Beeny, Joe Slanec (Tammy), Mark Slanec (Candy) Scott Slanec (Lana) and Debbie Bird; sister,Mabel Lau, of New Jersey. She was also fortunate enough to have 13 great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly.She fought hard and long for her life, but in the end was too weak to go on. We will look to the sky often knowing that you are at peace and are with those who you love. Rest in peace today, tomorrow and for eternity.
A memorial service will be held in her honor Friday the 28th, 11 a.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 2500 East 3900 So. Special thanks to the nurses at Cottonwood Hospital and staff at Heritage Bennion Care Center, and also to Dana Cumberledge and Melany Swensen who gave so freely of their love and time.
