Patsy Wakefield Bell, 68, passed away Thursday, May 8, 1997 after a three years' courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on August 8, 1928 to Amos Z. And Essie Jensen Wakefield. She lived most of her life in Bountiful and Centerville. Pat married her high school sweetheart, Richard (Dick) P. Bell, on June 9, 1950, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Her life centered around her husband, children and grandchildren. As a young woman, Pat especially enjoyed being involved in music and drama. She sang with the Salt Lake Oratorio Society. Pat was very active in the LDS Church, serving in the Young Women's, Relief Society, in the Primary and in the Sunday School organizations. She was a long time volunteer at Lakeview Hospital and enjoyed her volunteer service at the Bountiful Temple and Relief Society Office Building.She is survived by her husband, Dick, two daughters, two sons, and seven grandchildren--children, Jacque Fryer (Larry), Sandy, Utah; Jeff Bell (Julia), Salt Lake City; Denise Jensen (Randy) Portage, Michigan; Duff Bell (Karen), Centerville; grandchildren, Christopher and Emilee Fryer, Logan Bell, Alison and Spencer Jensen, Kyle and Ryan Bell. Also by sisters, Nina Vaught (Daryl), Oceanside, Oregon; Doleen Jewett (Duain), Farmington, Utah; Ruth Spjut, Holladay, Utah; brothers, Hal Wakefield (Vaudis), Washington, Utah; Jerry Wakefield (Toni), Grapevine, Texas. Preceded in death by parents and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 12, 1997 at 11 a.m. at the Centerville 15th Ward, 1100 North 400 West. Friends may call Sunday, May 11, from 6 - 8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, and Monday 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church.

Interment--Centerville City Cemetery.
