The woman who was Mous-ke-teer Darlene on "The Mickey Mouse Club" in the 1950s was sentenced to three years' probation for department store theft.
Darlene Gillespie, 56, and her fiance, Jerry Fraschilla, were "professional thieves," Superior Court Judge Roland Purnell said this week. The two were convicted earlier this month of petty theft for stealing a food processor and clothing from the Macy's depart-ment store in Ventura, Calif., on Jan. 26."I have no doubt they were going from store to store and returning stolen items for credit," Purnell said.
Gillespie and Fraschilla were videotaped walking into the store empty-handed, then walking out with the stolen merchandise.
