Out of respect for Dodi Fayed's family, the model who says he proposed and then jilted her is dropping a $440,000 lawsuit against him. She also forgives Fayed.
Attorney Gloria Allred said Kelly Fisher plans to keep the $233,000 sapphire and diamond band she says Fayed presented as an engagement ring.But the deaths of Fayed, Princess Diana and a driver Sunday in Paris have shaken Fisher so much that she will not pursue the breach-of-contract suit.
"She's shocked. She's been crying. She is emotionally drained," Allred said this week. "She has decided to forgive Dodi Fayed for the past injustices he inflicted on her and to go on with her life.

"Had Mr. Fayed lived, the action would have been vigorously pursued and litigated," Allred said.
