SOS Staffing Services, a Salt Lake-based company providing staffing services from 130 offices in 18 states, has acquired the temporary staffing and professional employment divisions of TOPS Staffing Services Inc., San Diego.

TOPS, which has $25 million in annual revenue, specializes in temporary clerical, technical, information technology and light industrial employment jobs. Howard W. Scott Jr., SOS chief executive officer, said Karla C. Hertzog, former TOPS president, will remain with the company in an advisory capacity.
