1st quarter: On Utah's lone scoring drive, Nick Morgan surprised all by rambling 47 yards to the Utah State 15-yard line. Three plays later, Michael Anderson muscled nine yards, breaking three tackles before diving over the goal line.

2nd quarter: After Utah State downed a punt at the two-yard line, Utah tried a quick screen to Daniel Jones, but he was tackled in the end zone for a safety. Utah countered when Darnell Arceneaux sprinted 20 yards for a score on a broken play. Brad Bohn added a fild goal for the Ags to make the score 14-5 at the break.

3rd quarter: After Ute kicker Cletus Truhe missed a 49-yard field goal, Utah State marched 63 yards that Demario Brown culminated with a four-yard touchdown run. Brown rushed for 31 yards on three carries during the drive.

4th quarter: After a pair of Utah field goals pushed the score to 20-12, the two teams stayed scoreless. Utah State had one more chance to tie the game, but Utah denied the Aggies on four straight plays from the 40-yard line with less than two minutes left.

Key Play: On fourth-and-five with 45 seconds left, Utah linebacker Phil Glover knocked down Riley Jensen's pass intended for Aggie tight end Dan Connelly.

Player of the game: Utah cornerback Teneil Ethridge broke up two straight passes in Utah State's final series, preserving the win.

Notes: Utah's defense held the Aggies under 200 yards total offense at 195 net yards. Utah, meanwhile, had a total of 373 yards with 227 of them coming on the ground. Arceneaux was 13-22 passing for 146 yards. Jensen was 11-25 for 99 yards and one interception.
