Paul Buehner, our beloved husband and father passed away January 21, 1999 at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He was born April 30, 1912 in Salt Lake City to Carl and Anna Bertha Geigle Buehner. They joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Stuttgart, Germany. In 1901 his parents immigrated to Utah where they raised their family of eight sons and three daughters.Paul followed the traditions set by his older brothers. For twenty years there was a Buehner at Granite High School. He played football, basketball, was student body president and received the coveted Moss Medal for outstanding senior student.

The depression made college almost unattainable, however, through hard work and sacrifice he graduated and lettered in football from the University of Utah in 1934 with a degree in Business.

Continuing the traditions of his father and brothers, Paul joined his brother Otto in work at the Otto Buehner and Company where for fifty years architectural pre-cast concrete products were manufactured and used through-out the United States.

He was featured in several national trade magazines. His picture appeared on the cover of Concrete Products Magazine, September 1964 with the caption "Buehner of Salt Lake City: Nations Best Known Pre-caster."

He was ever humble and without guile, serving in many leadership capacities of the Church. He served as Mission President with his wife in Columbus, Ohio from 1973 to 1976.

He loved gardening, horses, sports events, tennis, golf and "The Ranch." He had a wide circle of friends and loved being with his family.

He married his sweetheart, Irene Williams, in 1935 in the Salt Lake Temple.
