Our beloved and cherished mother, grandmother (nana), aunt, sister and friend passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter on November 14, 2000.
Wendy was born on September 20, 1950 in Salt Lake City, Utah to, Russell W. Owens, Jr. and Patricia T. Button.
Wendy and her late ex-husband, Michael L. Romney gave birth to their first daughter, Tina Marie in September 1968. They were once again blessed with their second child Heidi Michelle, in December 1970.
Wendy was a very loving, caring and involved mother. Her children always came first in her life, forming a lifetime friendship. She was blessed to be present for the birth of her three
grandchildren, Justin, Jordan and Taylor. She was as dedicated to them as she was to her own children and will be greatly missed by them.
Wendy was also devoted to her two sisters, two brothers, mother, father and her step-father. She loved them all very much. She was an incredibly gifted chef and was known throughout the state.
Survived by daughters, Heidi (Gig) Bunnell and Tina (Michael) Braithwaite. Mother, Patricia T. Button; sisters, Katie (Brent) Godfrey, Meg (Bob) Anderson; brothers, Michael Owens, Robert (Chris) Owens, three grandchildren, Justin, Jordan and Taylor; many nieces, nephews and friends. Services will be held Saturday, November 18, 2000 at 2 p.m. Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 South 1700 East, Sandy.
