John Leonard Harmon, 88, died April 22, 2001 in Provo, Utah.
Born Feb. 11, 1913 in Manti to Milton S. and Rozella Lowry Harmon. Married Merl Denison in March of 1933 in Las Vegas, NV. Later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple.
Leonard owned and operated Harmon Hardware Store in Manti for 60 years. Leonard loved his wife and family, the LDS Church, riding horses hunting and fishing.
Survivors: wife; one son and three daughters, Rosalie (Morris) Cahoon, St. George, UT; Judy (Marv) Tolman, Spanish Fork, UT; Louise (Reed)
Syndergaard; Joel Harmon, both of Manti; 20 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren;
one great-great-grandchild. Two brothers and one sister, John W. Harmon, St. George; Richard Harmon, Louisanna; Mrs. Norma Grotepas, Salt Lake City; Preceded in death by two grandsons, Todd and Randy Tolman.
Funeral services Thursday, April 26, 2001 at 1 p.m. in the Manti LDS Tabernacle, where friends may call Wednesday 7-9 p.m. and Thursday 11-12:30 p.m. prior to services. Interment, Manti City Cemetery under the direction of Buchanan Mortuary.
