Carlton Fortie Ensign, beloved husband, father, brother and friend passed from this life much too soon, May 28, 2001.
Carlton was born Jan. 12, 1956 in Salt Lake City, Utah and was the son of Howard Ensign and Glena Turner. He was an avid music lover and outdoorsman.
Among his many attributes were a heart as compassionate as it was fragile, an engaging smile, a quick wit and an uncanny ability to fix just about anything. Of all the accomplishments that defined Carlton's life, the two of which he was most proud were his sons, Cole and Cameron, whom he loved as much as any father could. Along with his sons, those left behind include his wife, Christine, his former wife Connie, the mother of Cole and Cameron, his sister, best friend and confidant Colleen, plus many other relatives and friends who will miss him every day of their lives. If asked how he would prefer to be remembered, Carlton might simply say "as a good and decent man." For that is what he was, and why he will be remembered so fondly by all those whose lives he touched.
Friends and family are invited to share in a wake celebrating Carlton's life Saturday, June 2, 2001 from 1 to 4 p.m. at La Caille, 9565 Wasatch Boulevard, near the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon.
