TAMPA, Fla. — Eric Quill set up three first-half goals as the Tampa Bay Mutiny snapped a seven-match losing streak with a 3-2 victory over D.C. United on Saturday night.

The Mutiny (3-10-1) played without suspended captain Carlos Valderrama.

Free kicks from Quill led to goals by Steve Ralston in the eighth minute and Mamadou Diallo in the 23rd. Quill also assisted on Devin Barclays' breakaway goal with three minutes remaining in the first half.

Jaime Moreno scored in the 52nd minute for United. Stephen Armstrong scored in the closing minutes for D.C., which had its two-game winning streak halted.

GALAXY 2, METROSTARS 0: Luis Hernandez scored with three minutes left and added another goal a minute later as Los Angeles became the first team in MLS to win 100 regular season-matches.

Goalkeeper Matt Reis made two saves for his fifth shutout of the season for the Galaxy (7-4-4).

New York/New Jersey (6-5-3) is winless in six games, going 0-4-2 in that stretch.

FIRE 1, REVOLUTION 1: Dema Kovalenko scored in the 73rd minute and helped Chicago salvage a tie with New England.

Cate opened the scoring in the 59th minute. He scored his fifth goal of the season on a penalty kick after being tackled by Fire midfielder Sergi Daniv.

The tie extends New England's unbeaten streak to four games. The Revolution, who beat Chicago in overtime on May 12, have lost just once in their last eight games (4-1-3).

CREW 2, BURN 1: Brian West scored in the 54th minute to lead Columbus to the victory over Dallas.

Dallas (6-6-1) played the entire second half with a man advantage after Columbus' Jeff Cunningham received a red card in the 43rd minute for stepping on the head of a fallen Ryan Suarez.
