Explosive charges rip through the dome of Market Square Arena, right picture, then a dust cloud, below left picture, engulfs the Indianapolis landmark. Remains are seen in the aerial photo, below right. The demolition of the arena, which opened in 1974, took less than 15 seconds. It was home to the Indiana Pacers until 1999 when the team moved into the Conseco Fieldhouse. Market Square also was site of Elvis Presley's last public performance.
