Mary Alice Wahlstrom died suddenly with her daughter, Carolyn Anne Bueg and many other passenger victims in an airplane accident September 11, 2001 at the World Trade Center in New York City. She was born April 19, 1923 in Portsmouth, Ohio.
Mary Alice was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who always had a ready smile and laugh for anyone lucky enough to meet her. Her optimistic attitude towards life and instant acceptance of another's apology made her a favorite companion. She loved music and books, with almost instant recall of past authors, titles, movies, and trivia.
She is survived by her husband, Norman O. Wahlstrom and her children, Norman Jr. (Margaret),
Michael, Scott (Kay), and Phil. She is also survived by her sisters, Susan Rowland and Ellen Litchfield, and her brothers, Steve and Bob Shehan.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Triem, and her parents
Francis and Carolyn.
Mary Alice was accompanied in death by her daughter, Carolyn Anne Bueg of Los Angeles, who is survived by her husband, John, daughters,
Lauren and Lindsey, and son, Nick.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 15, 2001 at 2 p.m. in the Kaysville 17th Ward at 875 E. 200 No., Kaysville, Utah. A memorial monument will be set at a later date in Logan. Funeral directors, Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 No. Main.
