Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great- grandfather and great-great-grand-father, Barney E. Jensen, age 84, passed away on Jan. 8, 2003 in Ferron, surrounded by his family.
He was born May 22, 1918 to
Joseph E. and Estella Mariah Wilson Jensen in Lawrence, UT. He married Jane Elizabeth Jensen Aug. 9, 1937 in Cleveland, UT. Later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple and they have spent 65 years together. He served in World War II in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific from 1943 to 1946.
He is survived by his wife Jane of Huntington, children; Bonnie Shurtleff of Orem, James and Karen Jensen, Valinda and Thomas Roush of Huntington, eight grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and four great- great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Tessie Jensen and many other family and friends. Preceded in death by four brothers, one sister, son-in-law and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. in the Huntington 1st/5th Ward building. Friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Castle Dale and one hour prior to services at the Church. Burial will be in the Huntington Cemetery.
